We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment to encourage and support community members to share diverse perspectives and identities to foster meaningful community engagement. Openhouse’s approach is to create a safe and welcoming space for all Queer older adults to be independent while surrounded by a community of care.  At Openhouse, everyone belongs and is a community member.

The Board of Directors is seeking a visionary and mission-driven Executive Director to lead Openhouse. The Executive Director will:

  • Be a strategic leader with a deep passion for Openhouse’s mission and services.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to addressing the unique needs of San Francisco older adults, particularly in the areas of aging services, community services, and housing.

  • Bring a blend of emotional intelligence, racial equity commitment, and nonprofit leadership acumen.

  • Leverage the organization’s respected history, reputation, and standing in the San Francisco community.

  • Continue to advance our mission and advocate for the things that matter to the people who count on us.

At a time of rising social polarization and threats to 2SLGBTQIA+ rights, Openhouse stands at a pivotal moment.
